The Lakes Creek No 2 Sewage Pump Station, located at Lakes Creek in North Rockhampton, has been designed to collect sewage and pump it on in a rising main for additional treatment. The Pump Station is comprised of a variety of electrical, mechanical and civil equipment, installed internally or externally to the Pump Station. Refurbishment of the Pump Station was required to ensure that all of the components of the Pump Station met the relevant safety legislation requirements.
As Principal Contractor, Roman Contractors demolished the existing sewage pump shed, and refurbished reinforced concrete and other related components and equipment on and around the Pump Station. The works included the installation of a vent pole, 400 millimetre thick topping slab, access frames, and step irons.
The successful completion of this project by Roman Contractors has ensured the safe and efficient performance of the Pump Station into the future.
